Norse Mythology is the rich and captivating collection of legends, gods, and heroic tales that originated in ancient Scandinavia.

The inspiration of the Norse Myths can be seen far and wide, and through modern media (Games, TV Shows, Movies & Books), we're seeing a rise in it's popularity. I myself will even be writing a series of artistically driven books depicting the Norse Myths. These mystical and interwoven stories have been passed down to us by 12th century scholars, written from what was once an oral tradition of poetry and creative storytelling. I'd like to do my part in preserving the legacy of these tales while adding my own creative spin on them.

And to answer my the question. Yes, it is absolutely still relevant. More now than ever, too. In recent years we've had many large-scale projects depicting the various facets of the Norse Myths. Lord of the Rings, Vikings & Game of Thrones really pushed the fantasy aesthetic, while games like Skyrim and God of War games did a fantastic job in their creative approach to the source material.

And now there's me.

Someone who wants to fill in the gap with a series of stunning, vibrant, illustrated books. I'm only 3 years into this journey, but I've met some fantastic people along the way, and I'm now starting to find the right people—Scholars and enthusiasts who are able to help me visualise the world of Nordic Mythology, while staying faithful to the source material and doing it justice in our representation. One of my many projects is The Norse Mythology Encyclopedia, where I'm categorising every aspect of the Norse Myths and then presenting them, both on this website, and in an ongoing eBook project.

I love the stories, I love Viking-age ornamental art, and I love creating art with the runes.

I started this 3 years ago as a hobby while finishing my masters, and I've learned a lot in this time, especially win regards to the massive gap between the enthusiasts who watched Vikings (Skal, brothers), and the scholars who study this for a living. That gap is massive, so I'm here to build a bridge.

My goal is to make it easy to learn about the Norse Myths and Viking History, while having some fun in the way I present these stories within tattoo designs and the illustrations that come from my friends in Ukraine. The road ahead of me is long, and this website is a constant work in progress, ever changing as I develop in my creative skillset.
