I wish I could tell you more about the larger collection that these Leggings belong to..

But I can't just yet – Because I need to figure out how to trademark that collection as it's own sub-brand of Einarr's Journey. This will be my staple "super premium" range of clothing, and it'll kinda be the culmination of 2 years of experience I've gained through experimentation, design work, apparel printing and collaboration.

I'm slowly chipping away at that idea here in the background, and so far I have at starting list on the items I want to sell within that range – and 2 finished designs: These Leggings and the Runic Sweatpants. I have a LOT of design work to do, but I am so excited to get going with it <3

About the Art

All of my apparel is printed by myself.

And if not by myself, then by a good friend of mine – Louis Webb – who introduced me to the world of garment printing and taught me what I know today. I take on all of the work and do everything small scale.

I use a DTF Heat Press to transfer the designs onto the garment

DTF means Direct to Film – a printing technique in which the art is printed onto a special plastic film, and then pressed with heat onto the garment which releases the art. For all of my garments I work with a 2-step printing process in order to really 'marry' the design to the fabric.

The first step releases the art from the film. For T-shirts & Legwear I press the art with medium pressure at 150 degrees celsius – first with a teflon sheet over the art for 8 seconds. The DTF I use is hot peel, so I immediately remove the film after this first press as quickly as I can. This preserves the details and a quick, clean peel results in much less cracking.

The second step is to re-press the design – this time without a teflon sheet – for about 3-4 seconds. I then leave them to cool naturally before folding and packing.

For Hoodies – the process is the same however I first press them at 170 degrees celsius for 15 seconds, followed by the quick removal of the film, and then a second press of 5-6 seconds.

About the Supplier

I like keeping what I do at a small scale, and I don't like no-name / no-face corporate entities.

So I was very lucky that I was introduced to Absolute Apparel as my primary supplier. I'll give you the copy from their website, and then my own personal experience working with them.

About Casual Classics – From Absolute Apparel

Casual Classics has a rebellious spirit & a lofty objective: to design & make blanks at a revolutionary price, at a quality level equal to or better than the rest.

As a mill to warehouse producer, Casual Classics has a middleman free supply chain that allows the saving to be passed on to the consumer. Circumventing traditional channels, designing in-house & engaging with customers direct, we provide higher-quality, better-looking garments at a fraction of the going rate

Casual Classics was created to offer an alternative for fashion friendly buyers wanting blanks to create their own brand. We keep our styles generic & labels removable.

Casual Classics is there for you to make your own brand, not to promote ours.

Who they really are – and my personal experience with them so far

I think the copy from their website above is pretty spot on. My experience with Absolute Apparel has, thus far, been flawless. I have my own brand representative – James Dunn – who has been an absolute diamond to work with since I became a customer of the brand.

James will occasionally call me up for half an hour just to chat about how I'm getting on with different things. He calls after I do events to see how things went, and he pays attention to the style I'm trying to build with my brand. He'll offer suggestions, help me choose between different brands, and he does so without ever being pushy for a sale.

I don't know if James makes commission on all of my purchases, but if he does – it certainly doesn't feel like it. He's always on hand to help me out, and for me personally – I like having that more chilled out and human aspect to my clothing orders. I know that if I have an issue, I don't need to go through website forms and all of that boring nonsense. I just give games a Ring and it gets sorted instantly.

Ethics & sustainability

I once asked James – my brand representative for Absolute Apparel – to be straight with me about the ethics behind the garments I'm buying

He seemed very happy to hear that question – and immediately started telling me about all of the regulatory bodies they work with. I'm not a P.I. – But I believe him. If it ever comes out that they were lying and the ethics are all a scam – cast your judgement on them, not me. That being said, I have no reason to believe that James would have lied to me, and thus I'll put the copy from their website below so you can read it for yourself.

Amfori BSCI

In a global marketplace, supply chains are becoming increasingly complex. It’s now more necessary than ever for companies to improve visibility over their production – and to drive improvements across their supply chains wherever possible. Since 2003, amfori BSCI has enabled companies to trade with purpose by improving social performance in their supply chain governed by these 11 key principles;

OEKO-TEX

The national and international statutory requirements concerning the product safety of textiles are difficult for manufacturers to comprehend in their everyday business.

Trust the experts from OEKO-TEX. The current statutory provisions are covered in the extensive measures catalogue for harmful substance testing and the relevance of future developments is checked.

  • The regulations regarding prohibited azo dyes, formaldehyde, nickel etc. are included in the test catalogue.
  • Chemicals harmful to health are also tested if they have not yet been statutorily regulated.
  • Requirements of Annexes XVII and XIV of the REACH Directive, and of the ECHA-SVHC Candidate List are covered by the test method.
  • The OEKO-TEX laboratory tests include around 100 test parameters and take into account the intended use of the textiles. The more intensive the skin contact of a textile product, the stricter the limit values for each product class.

  • Protect people, the environment & business by proactively identifying & managing risk
  • Enable sustainable & responsible business through technological solutions.

Shipping & Returns

The shipping is calculated at the last step of payment – but the simple version is this:

You pay what I pay. I don't charge any extra for the packaging as I have factored that into the base price for each product. I ship with Royal Mail, and I have configured the shipping costs based on their weight and size categories.

I don't bother with fancy packaging, not at this stage of my business. I try to keep it simple and ideally – moving forward to trying to reduce the amount of excess packaging / plastic I use. It's a slow process but I'm working on it.

A simple returns policy

I spent a lot of time creating a detailed size guide for all of my clothing products. Of course, please check that thoroughly – I want you to be incredibly happy and comfortable with everything you order from me. Sometimes that's not the case.

If there's an issue – all you need to do is get in toucha nd I'll help you solve it. I'm most active on my Instagram, but you can reach me by email too:

Instagram: @einarrs_journey

Email: einarrsjourney@gmail.com

I receive a lot of spam in my emails, so if you do send me one and I don't answer in a reasonable amount of time – just send another.

So long as the item can be returned to me in it's original state (no damage or anything like that) – I can give you a full refund or I can send another out to you (like a different size for example).

I'm easy to get a hold of and I'm genuinely here to help, so you have no fear about getting ghosted or spending your hard earned gold on something you won't be 100% happy with <3

FAQ – Will the art peel off?

The art won't peel – but it will start cracking with time

At the time of writing this I've had my first printed pair of Runic Sweatpants for around 2+ months. I've not experienced any peeling of the art, and they've been through 10+ washes easily. They've been worn in the rain a lot too – I live in England after all.

I print them in a 6-step process to ensure that the art doesn't peel, and I'm very impressed with them so far. Cracking of the art is to be expected as the material is constantly moving (because your legs are always moving) – but even now, looking down at the pair I'm wearing – I'm not seeing any of the design 'missing.'

FAQ – Do I offer Larger Sizes

I offer the full range accessible to me from my supplier. These Leggings aren't part of the Casual Classics Range I usually work with – they come from a different supplier.

The sizes available to me are  XS – 2XL

The Design – Protection of Frigg Bindrune

This long bindrune originally started out as the design for a giant pillar that would serve as a decorative structural support for a Viking hall being built in the US. The bindrune for the pillar was much shorter, but I realised I can stack it seamlessly for a long, vertical design that wouldn't feel out of place. I did the same for the Odin Bindrune on the Runic Sweatpants.

    Chosen for every day use

After a fair bit of research, these leggings are currently the best available choice available to me. I'm still gathering some feedback on them as I want to make sure that I do have the best possible choice for comfort and every day use. So far that feedback seems 50/50 with these ones – they seem comfortable, but they definitely lean more towards being activewear than comfort.
