Getting Good Viking Tattoos Shouldn’t be This Hard

Most of what you see online is recycled, uncredited, or historically confused and doesn’t do justice to the mythology or the culture.

Each artwork is ethically sourced, paid for, and created with full artistic freedom, giving you a collection that’s both meaningful and genuinely high-quality.

Whether you’re choosing a personal tattoo or you’re a tattoo artist looking for fresh, authentic material for your clients, this eBook gives you a massive foundation to work from.

The Art

This project is a collaboration between established and emerging artists across the Norse Pagan and tattoo community, each bringing their own interpretation of Nordic motifs and Viking-age aesthetics.

Some work primarily in historically inspired styles; others blend Norse themes with modern tattoo design. Together, they form a diverse and passionate group whose work defines the soul of this series.

Example of one of the artist overview spreads.

Artist Overview

Each artist’s section opens with a small introduction that brings you a little closer to the person behind the work. You’ll find a simple portrait, a short bio, and a few lines about their connection to Nordic art and tattooing.

Beneath that sits a list of the designs they’ve contributed, each with a brief description of its motif, mythological roots, or stylistic inspiration.

It’s a gentle way of setting the scene, giving you a sense of who the artist is, what shaped their approach, and the ideas woven into their designs before you see the finished artwork.

Tattoo Designs

The 2-4 spreads following the artist introduction are where the art speaks for itself. Each design is shown clearly and without distraction: clean linework, high resolution, and ready to be used as tattoo inspiration or as a stencil by artists. This spread is all about letting the work breathe, a space where you can take in the details, style, and personality of each piece at a glance, without anything getting in the way.
